Prof. WU Tao of Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE Law School) received a Ph.D. in law from Peking University Law School in 2003. From September 2007-April 2008, Prof. Wu worked on anti-trust law and economics as a visiting scholar at College of Law of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Prof. Wu’s research focuses on competition law. He led a research project of “Construction of the Legal System of Civil Remefor Monopoly Behaviors in China”, sponsored by National Social Science Foundation of China. He won the An Zijie Research Grants on International Trade for his academic paper “Trade Conflicts Related to Competition Policy: Micro Analysis on the Necessity of International Coordination of Competition Law”.

Prof. Wu has served as legal expert witness in various influential antitrust cases such as the case of Qihu vs. Tencent and has been a legal adviser for Chinese Ministry of Commerce during the China-US negotiations on Patents and Standards in 2015.

Prof. Wu is a member of China Economic Law Society, a member of China Legal Education Society and a member of China Society of WTO Study.
